Last February, this movie, OFF BEAT, was introduced to stylistberlin readers during Berlinale 2011 specials. During the event, it caught some attention, and meanwhile, it has been on several continents already.
Back in April, I spent a while in Switzerland with the team of arsonfilm. We all went to see the Round Table Knights performing at Hive Club in Zurich. We attended a concert by the Mundartisten, the hip hop band Chocolococolo (Hans-Jakob Mühlethaler), the main actor of this movie belongs to. We had an awesome time at The Coyote Wrestler's home, the whole Lapcat Music crew was united. To see the whole arsonfilm crew in private and getting to know them better was an amazing experience. They gave me peace of heart and inspired me to do some work back in Germany.
Meanwhile, Chrigu, the first movie run at Berlinale by Jan Gassmann was nominated for he Top 20 best movies of Switzerland.
In September, I met Lisa Blatter and got a first glimpse of the PR plans they had for the cinema premiere of Off Beat.
I am very happy to announce that Off Beat is starting November 3rd in Zurich (at the famous RiffRaff Cinema) - and hopefully soon in Germany as well!
