HERE WE GO, Berliners!
After Germans made a start with adapting some jungle sounds, African-style vibes and beats from the Brazilian favelas, Australia is now exporting some of their talented offspring - this time on
Acidkids Records, the Berlin-based label by Daniel Dexter and his colleagues of Acid Kids: the newly released EP is OUT NOW on beatport and itunes, called BRASS MONKEY EP by MANKINDE.
MANKINDE- Brass Monkey EP Review
1. Mankinde – The Gospel According To Jack
Like the bass-line melody and love the classic tech house beats. Although I am not a big fan of much speech in tracks (Oliver $'s Doin' ya thang being an exception!), the tool is working great in this one.

2. Mankinde – Stomp The Yard
This track will just make you shake your body and get your feet moving. Although I was not sure in the first place if I liked the voices/chorus, I got absorbed in the beats and all in all, the track "functions" very well on the dancefloor.

3. Mankinde – Brass Monkey
The newest party tune, I guess - this track makes you flip your body on the floor, making you dance like crazy. (Wait, the laughings sounds like Joyce Muniz, but maybe I am just in love with her voice so everything sounds like her...)

4. Mankinde – Man Kind
If I had to pick one, I'd name this one my favourite from the EP - just because I think it's time for some new tunes, and the jungle-beats-like tunes are still very hot, hot, hot.
They did a fantastic job mixing classical house beats with new sound elements, resulting in an EP with four tracks - each of them assumed to be spinning the bodies on the dancefloor. If I had to pick one, I'd name this one my favourite from the EP - just because I think it's time for some new tunes, and the jungle-beats-like tunes are still very hot, hot, hot.
No wonder one of my favourite DJanes/MCs Joyce Muniz supported it along Act Yo Age and Fex Fellini and Fake Blood, Friendly Fires, Round Table Knights, Chris James, Markus Schulz, Boris Dlugosch, Neoteric, Shir Khan, Larry Tee, Das Glow, Tai, J-Phlip, Umek, Shinichi, Osawa, and Sinden so far:
Joyce Muniz (Exploited): Stomp the Yard is sick goes straight to my bag
Act Yo Age (Sweat it Out!): Kickin ass in every direction!!! Supporting this XX
Oh Snap!: (Sweat It Out) "Yo...Brass Monkey is soooooo dope!"
